Play, Fail, Learn, then Play Again
Bot Basics 101: Ages 4 to 11
$900.00
$810.00
Created to Meet Popular Demand, Bot Basics 101 introduces children as young as 4 through classes that guide students to build their own electronic toys! From Robotic Dinosaurs, to RC Race Cars, students will learn about the basics of circuits, how electricity flows and how to play safely with electronic toys.
In this class, builds consist of hardwood models that students assemble from scratch and under the guide of instructor(s). As students become more comfortable and show diligence in practicing safety protocols, they will be introduced to higher level tools and more complex builds and eventually matriculate into Bot Basics 102.
Students can choose to keep their builds and we offer builds excited for all ages including toy robots, RC Cars, decorative evening lamps, bluetooth speaker, coin banks, flash lights and more! With so much variety, older children who may not be comfortable or ready for more complex build can start out and take their time without feeling left behind by their friends. We'll be updating the image gallery for this class regularly, so please check back to see new builds we'll be carrying.
We recommend this class for any student between the ages of 4 to 11, but classes are also open to 12 an 13 year old students. Families are also welcome on weekends, late night and during holiday recess. If our available class times and dates aren't fitting your schedule, we'd like to hear from you and see how we can accommodate. Please note that a minimum of 4 students is required to initiate a class and we respectfully reserve the right to move a student to another class to fit that requirement. We also kindly ask that anyone signing up please include additional dates and times (3 preferred) that work for the student so that we can accommodate you to the best of our ability.
We follow the NYC DOE calendar and observe the Holidays and breaks it observes. After school programs will not be conducted on those days, but we will have break camps available on those days for kids who are interested. Summers will also function as camps; for more information on either Holiday & School Recess Camps or Summer Programs, please check out those respective tabs on the home page. If you have any issues using the website, please reach out to us at info@amusinged.com.
Each class runs for two hours and start promptly at the time scheduled. All classes begin with snack time to fuel students for the lesson and to give any students running late time to get in.
